The tutorial will show you to create matrix effect. This effect could probably be improved by using more text layers, especially the smaller ones, and varying the spacing more but at the moment I don’t really care to go back and rewrite the tut for it.
In this tutorial, it will display you how you create a style text.
In this tutorial it will show you how to make that cool aqua text that is on my header. In the end you text will look like the O below. A little to the background to make it more interesting is added.
This tutorial is a great exercise in using the dodge and burn tool as well as working with selections. Take a white to black gradient set to radial, and drag a gradient from the left side of the X where the reflection appears on the X to about 200 pixels past where the reflection leaves on other side of the X.
It will show you how to create a nice text effect This is a simple effect, and your results can be better then mine.Good luck!
In this tutorial we’ll be using layer styles to make a plastic-gel type style that you can easily apply to text and shapes. Then make a elliptical selection using the selection tool and hit delete as shown .
In this tutorial, the type-effects shows how to create the above image. The key is to create the letters in a 3D package first as individual characters, then bring them into Photoshop for further post work. This example has a few more details, but you can take it much further.
In this tutorial we are going to take some very basic principles of light and shade to make a rather impressive looking text effect. Finally we duplicate the top lighting layer one more time and set it to 65% opacity, then click the Add Layer Mask button on the layers palette again and draw a linear white to black gradient from top left to bottom right. This makes the extra lighting layer fade off as it goes down right.
In this tutorial we’ll be creating a smokey night effect on text to give it an eerie supernatural sort of feel. Finally to give it a more eerie feel I added a layer above all the others and with a large brush painted some green on top, then set the layer blending mode to Colour to make it so that the image is a blue-green colouring. And we’re done!
It uses a little Illustrator for the text and a lot of Photoshop to burn up the screen! Although it looks complicated the process is actually very straight forward. I used only three or four filters, brushes and of course the Layer Styles. As always, the idea is to play around with Photoshop to get your own unique results.
