I have sharpen my pictures and gone over them with the soft light tool, but can't. I want them to be bright and noticeable, so they won't seem so boring. I use photoshop cs2 if that matters.

You will need to go to image and then roll over adjust where you will click Hue & Daturation. You will then raise the saturation to where it pops and still looks natural.

This is a simple task and there are many ways of making your pictures more colorful. The simpliest way would be to adjust saturation and contrast.
