Design Site Critique?

Hey all! I just got done designing the site for the design group I'm in, SKRA DSGN and I wanted to get some feedback other than people I know personally. You can check out the site here. I'm the guy in the middle btw, lol.

I like the graphics and your work. The site looks simple and nice. However, I feel like there is too much blank/white space. If you can decorate the site with some patterns or background, it would be perfect.

Thanks for the crituque. I was going for a more minimalistic look. It looks like a exceeded just a bit too well, lol. I'll have to wait until I hear what one of the members say though. He seems to be obsessed with having everything look, feel, and sound professional. Then I'll see if I can add that light background pattern.

EDIT: I've confirmed that Internet Explorer cuts off the slogan and whatnot from the site. I'm pretty sure that other sites have common sense though.

I agree with Ray the site does look a bit empty now... probably good idea to reduce the container width a bit since you dont have too many contents right now, or use floating sidebars.

Also I guess it's probably a good idea to put your descriptive texts on top of the images, instead of down the bottom. Because if I were your client, i want to see what you can do or what type of services you can offer first.

Regardless how professional your site looks, remember NOT to lose your site's identity/theme along the way.

For inspirations you can go to Best Web Gallery - Flash + CSS Gallery, got fantastic sites over there.

I agree with nitebox with the info and picture issue - text should come prior to pictures. Pherhaps just switch places?
It's good for many things - client gets the information quicly and don't have to search for it. Also, with a crappy internet connection like mine, it takes a bit time to load the images, so while i read the page info at the top, the picture at the bottom would be already loaded.

But overall, it's a good design. Nice and simple. Maeby a bit too simple (lots of white) but that is questionable depending on personal taste.

Thanks for the input. I guess I went a little *too* minimal here. On a side note, I just finished making my own personal design site ... it looks best in Opera though. I don't know how to get rid of the borders around the linked content in IE and Firefox ... well, I just had an idea just now. I'll see if it works.

I think the site is really cool and the graphics are awesome too. Of I would try and add some color and feel in that blank white space.
