I was appoached by a friend to create a website for him. By using me, he will save alot versuses paying else someone to create it. I have used photoshop for awhile and quite familiar with the process. I what to create it now using iWeb, but it seems that I can't create a good website thats full of features. So how could you all give me some advice on how to create a website in photoshop?
You can try creating a layout in photoshop anduse the slice tool to break up images into a usable format. Then you can "Save For Web" and choose HTML and Images.
If you are not quite sure maybe you should let your friend find a professional to take care of it. It may seem to him and yourself like you are saving him money, but at some point in the future he will have to have the website created again by a professional anyways.
I agree with mroc27. Photoshop is for webdesign only, not for creating the website itself. You got to have some HTML/CSS skills. My favorite program remains Dreamweaver!
I agree that you should have him go with a professional to begin with. If you are unsure about what you want to do or how to achieve an effect you will eventually cause him to have to go to one. If you can lay the basics down you can still save some money. But I think I would find someone to do that knows.
