I see nobody's answered your question, so here are some of my own thoughts:

There are pros and cons to each type of media.

ebooks are probably cheaper, delivered instantly after purchase, don't take up any room on your shelf and are easily transported with you on a flash drive, etc. You can have a page open on your screen and quickly refer to it while you work in Photoshop. You can zoom in as necessary to see details in the text or images.

Traditional books will be better for reading in bed or in the bathroom (!), and are easier on the eye. If you go to the bookstore you can spend time making sure you really want to buy a particular title. You can make notes and do highlighting, though this is also true for PDFs.

So it's really up to you and your personal preferences and circumstances.
